Ellen has had a love of calligraphy for more than fifteen years. When she started Letters by Ellen calligraphy in 2008, she never dreamed that it would be an opportunity to share this art with so many through events, weddings and teaching classes. Ellen has been teaching beginner and advanced classes of various lettering styles. She has been featured in print publications, and a Northwest television news segment. After a 10-year career in the non-profit world, she now spends her days wrangling her two boys and many of her evenings lettering until far too late.

Practicing an art, no matter how well or badly, is a way to make your soul grow. Sing in the shower. Dance to the radio. Tell stories. Write a poem to a friend, even a lousy poem. Do it as well as you possibly can. You will get an enormous reward. You will have created something.

Sarah Simon is a Wife and Momma, Jesus follower and Seattle native. She's the artist illustrator and photographer behind @TheMintGardener on Instagram and Etsy. When she's not hugging her babies or teaching watercolor classes, she's seeking out quiet moments for sketching and painting, making small bouquets of flowers and herbs from her garden, or reading. She and her husband love to explore new places, and enjoy anything ocean, friend, food or eating related. Sarah calls the Pacific Northwest home, and yes, she does enjoy the gloomy gray days a bit more than the hot, sunny ones
